Hi my name is Aimee Hurst and this is my blog for New Communication Technologies, a subject I am taking for my Bachelor of Journalism at Griffith University on the Gold Coast. This particular class, caught my eye because the different types of communication are highly important for a journalist. I hope to learn about a variety of new programs which will become useful in the future with my life as both a journalist and a student.
A little bit about me:
I've just moved up from Sydney, a family move, not a move to attend university, and so far, life up here is great! I enjoy writing, spending too much time on the web looking at the latest celebrity blogs and on myspace/facebook. I hate the debate between myspace and facebook, I can't chose which i like better, because both have their ups and downs, personally it would be ideal if they could be combined. I also enjoy watching movies, I like most genres, however I really do get scared for a week or two after watching a horror film.
I do call myself a busy person, I am at uni 3 days a week and working 3 days also, my only "free" day is a Sunday. But in between work and uni i spend a lot of time with my boyfried Nicolai, from Demark who is also taking this class.
